The Java House

On Friday, we went to the Java House after writing class. I remembered the weather was cloudy and so cool, so we walked quickly to Java House. It was not so far just near the Subway. There were two different things attract me. The most important impression to me was that this place provided a good environment. There were two choices. You could sit outside or inside. We chose to sit inside because of the weather that would be rainy we thought. The coffee shop had a big window that we could enjoyed outside scenery. I found the people around me were students or couples. It was not crowed and not empty. It was a good place for couples to make appointments, or students to study .The light was a little dark which created a romantic feeling. There were some decoration in Java House, such as all kinds of beautiful cups and a retro public telephone. We found a seat that a light in the desk, which created warm feeling. In addition, the coffee is so good. When we outside the door, the taste of coffee across us, which make me could not help ordering the coffee. I ordered a normal coffee that tasted not very sweet, so I like it very much. My group members also enjoyed drinking in this place. I thought Java House is very nice not only the quality of coffee but also a good environment.

Last Friday, my group and I went to The Java House as we planned since the beginning of the week. It was amazing day because we finished our classes early and the weather was very nice. It was cloudy and rainy. After we finished our classes at 11:30, we meet outside Black Honor Center. Then, we walked to the cafe. We didn’t use google map because we already been there before. It took about 10 minutes to get there. After that, we checked the menu and we made our order and payed the amount. I ordered hot mocha and cookie.  While we were waiting our coffee to be ready, we went outside to take a picture for us. Then, we took our coffee and sat on the table. Finally, we enjoyed our coffee. Everything was fantastic the Coffee, the decor and the service. The Java House deserves to visit again and again.

Our group members went to the Java House on September 18th, 2015. When I arrived to Java House, the building design and style looked little bit vintage style compared to Starbucks that look new style to me. I liked the logo of Starbucks better than Java House logo. I went in to Java House Inside was really clean and fresh feeling such as Starbucks building in Iowa City. To tell the truth I couldn’t really tell the difference between Starbucks and Java House inside the building. We went there and I ordered a Iced americano with little ice so that I can drink more coffee than ice water in coffee. When I tried a americano from Java House, first time I didn’t really like it but I was getting used to it then start liking it. I think it has more strong and something different coffee taste than Starbucks americano. For all I like Starbucks logo better than Java House, and I like Java House Iced americano more than Starbucks. We enjoyed our time at the Java House.

Last Friday, our group went to The Java House. The Java House not only has a good taste, but also is a good place to study and chat with your friends. I like this coffee shop. I think The Java House’s hot chocolate taste is very good. There is a few cream on the top. The cream is sweet but not oily. If you drink a cup of hot chocolate in the winter, the whole body will warm. What’s more, and if you drink coffee at there, you will enjoy that environment. The coffee shop has a retro decoration. In your free time, you can read books in this coffee shop. And The Java House is also a good place to chat with friends. I like The Java House very much. I enjoy my time in The Java House.

 It was cloudy. Sky starts raining when we went to the Bruegger's.

 there were lots of wooden chairs available while i entered the cafe. The sound equipment plays popular light music. i think it's

a good place to talk with friends or watch novels. They provide

 all kinds of coffee like cappuccino, latte as well as tasty cakes

and buggers. We ordered some drinks and sit to talk with each

otherS. We talked a lot about the culture between China with and

 Japan and some interesting memories. It's nice to practice my 

english speaking with my group members, and enjoy the drinks.

Happy Friday also rainy day , we went to the Bruegger’s bagels. Because I went there before , just near the Phillips hall and it’s on IOWA AVE street, only took our around five or six minutes from old capital mall, so we didn’t use google map to find the bagels restaurant .The bruegger’s bagels have many kind of food , such as breakfast or lunch sandwiches , salads, soups , desserts , hot or ice beverage and bagels . First step , if you want to buy a bagel , you should choose which kind of bagel you like , for example , they have white bagel or whole wheat bagel,etc. Second step, you can put some fruit , cheese , egg or other flavor you like . Last step , the clerk will put your bagel into the heating machine. After that , you can go to the counter for pay your bill also they will ask you what did you order . Then ,we found a seat for eating and drinking our bagel and beverage . I think that their clerk is nice also making our meal quickly ,therefore , on the other hand, it’s good for people who is rush of time. And you should try their bagel because it’s delicious.

   We went to the Bruegger's bagels which is famous for bagles.It was really havy raining day. We met after lunch, and went together. It took only 5minutes from Old Capital Mall, and the shop was easy to find. There were a few people inside the shop. Three of us ordered coffee, and one of us ordered a tea. Also, Lu orderer a bagle.The price is fit for the shop. Coffee and tea tasts were normal.Not too bad,but not so good. The bagle had chewy bread, and it was good.It mean if you choose your favorite stuff for contants, it might tast good, and you can satisfy. The shop was clean and not so noisy, so it is easy to talk each other, and also you can study, too.In conclusion, this shop is not so good at only having coffee or tea, but it is good if you want to eat bagles or to study with some coffee.

    The Bruegger's is located in the center of Iowa city, so people can easily have the access of public transportation around there. The decoration of Bruegger's is much more modern than other bagel places. For me, it's a good store to spend time with a nice book in the afternoon and have some tea or bagel, instead of other bagel places to grab a meal for breakfast in the morning. Speaking of the food here, the variety of bagel and filling is extraordinary. There are over 10 types of bagel you can choose, and more than 20 kinds of fillings which taste so delicious. Besides, there are some other options you can't find in other place, such as beverage and sandwich as well as all the things that you can find in a normal cafe. In a nutshell, Bruegger's is an amazing bagel place to visit, if you want to kill time with friends or treat yourself a little.

Last Friday,  we went to the Cafe Crema”s, because I have been there before, it’s really impressed me, so I highly recommend to my group. It was raining when we at there, but there are still full of people, but all of them are very quite, also it smell really good inside.

We order the hot chocolate, cappuccino, american and a pice of these cake, all of them all taste really good. I really like that place, it’s really a good place for people to meet or study.

After continuous comparison, we finally decide to go to the coffee crema's.First, we checked the way to coffee camera and it is near coralville. When we arrived here, it was raining.The boss is a lovely Korean girl and the warm decoration let us forget the bad weather.Then we chose our best favor of coffee.I chose a cup of hot chocolate because of the cold weather and we shared a piece of cheese cake.Unfortunately, they did not offer Cappuccino cake on that day.But the cheese cake is delicious as well and we would order a Cappuccino cake to taste in the future.Finally, we talking about something happened recently and back to our home.This is a nice experience for me!

     Caffe Crema is wonderful place. It has some space between the tables. I don't like drink coffee, but the smell is very beautiful. It likes good but I didn't like it.The server was very good becouse we didn't wait a lot of time. The place is very clean looks like amazing place. The cafe has a lot of type of coffee and dessert such as cup cake, and cookies. It was quiet place, so we enjoyed to listen some classical music. I like this place when I go another time ,I will try another things.

Cafe Crema's environment is peaceful and quietly. In there I ordered Americano which I always order in coffee shop because I think it is the good and easy one to compare which coffee shop is better. Comparing with Starbucks the coffee of Cafe Crema is not better because the Americano in Cafe Crema is not very intriguing and tasteless. I like a little bit bitter and with full aroma Americano. I also tried the cheesecake, and it tastes very thick but not greasy. It's a pity that we did not eat the tiramisu that my friend said very delicious.

       Last Friday our group went to the Starbucks in downtown, which is designed  simple outside. It was raining heavily outside. When we arrived in Starbucks one by one,we all felt relaxed. The environment there was quiet. Few people were working or talking there. The coffee I ordered was a cup of matcha latte,which is called green tea latte here. I used to drink it a lot in my hometown. The taste of this cup of coffee was similar to what I drunk before. And that made me feel warm both in body and heart. The interesting thing is, what Cathy ordered was a cup of Macchiato, it tasted to bitter and it was far different from the one she drunk before. Finally we found out that it’s the confusion of what is called here. To sum up, this experience made me know more about American’s custom. And we all enjoyed in it so much.

     Last week we went to the Starbucks near the UCC in downtown. It is a famous coffee shop all over the world. I think it is a good choice to taste American Starbucks, and it is better than Chinese one. This Starbucks is pretty small, when we got there it was rainy outside. After I entered in, it made me feel warm. To tell you the truth, I really love the smell of coffee, because it made me more awake and more energy. We began to queue to get our coffee. I ordered a cup of Macchiato, because I really like the milk foam on it. However, when I got this, it was surprised me! It had just a little coffee in the cup! What’s wrong? I felt unhappy to drink it. Then I looked on the website to see what was wrong with that. It said Macchiato is espresso coffee…… After that, I know I have lots of things to learn in American, not only for study, but also for daily life.

      We firstly choose Starbucks to visit, because it is one of the most common coffee shops in the U.S. When we enter the Starbucks, which is located at Clinton Street, I can smell the charming flavor of coffee. After enjoying our coffee, I found some similarities and differences between Iowa City’s Starbucks and my hometown’s Starbucks. They both have peaceful atmosphere and the environment is suitable for studying and working. I believe that Starbucks could be a nice place for us to relax and study. Thought for a moment, I ordered a cup of Cappuccino. While I was waiting for my coffee, I found that the price here is much inexpensive than my hometown’s. What’s more, the taste of Cappuccino is much bitter so I add some sugar to make it easier for me to drink. Cathy ordered a cup of Macchiato and she said the taste was too strange to drink. As for Tallis, she ordered a cup of Mocha latte, she said it was as good as that one she had drunk before. So did Fatimah, she said her coffee was good, too. In general, the Starbucks coffee shop is a very good place for us to enjoy different kind of coffee and find more differences or similarities to compare with other shop’s coffee we have drunk.

     My group mempers and I went to Starbucks on Sep 18, 2015. It was raining a lot that day. It was across of the Capitol mall, so we find it quickly. The place was tranquil and the design was so modern. people weren't annoying. Some of them were studying and some were talking quietly, so it's a good place to relax or study. We sat in the chairs and drank some coffee. The coffee was so delicious, and wasn't too hot. After that we toke some pictures together.In Starbucks there are many different types of coffee, so the person must know what he like to drink his favorite coffee and enjoy it. It's the right place for coffee lovers.

Last Thursday after the class, Bayan, Bonny and I went to T. Spoon, which is in Old Capital Mall. When we arrived there, it was just 3 o'clock, so they weren't a lot of people there. Some people sit alone in the small table, writing their homework and drinking cups of coffee. The price there wasn't expensive, therefore, I have heard some people introduced me to go there. However, all of us had important things to do after the small party, we just stayed for a short time.

   Last week,  we went to T.spoons where located  in old capitol mall. It took a few minutes walking     which is pretty near. When you entered the nice coffee shop, you could feel  the  inviting aroma of    fresh coffee full of the little room. Then you went the the front table, greeted with clerk,  told friendly stuff you need a cup of hot chocolate. While waiting for hot beverage,  seating in the cute wooden table, we had a lovely conversion. About 3 minutes, the hot chocolate was ready. What a wonderful day!

Last week, we went to T.spoons in Old Capitol Mall.The fist thing, I want to compare with Javahouse's style.The style is simple and lovely,but It doesn't attracts you like in Javahouse.Honwstely I pay attantion for the style before any thing els naturally, I follow this quote "you first eat with your eyes".I ordered black coffee and muffin,so it was less stronger and better  than in Javahouse, but the mouffin was not soft. The coffee's aroma is refreshing in Javahouse than in T.spoons.Javahous is crowded than T.spoons. On the whole, T.spoons great, but Ilike Javahouse more.

At last Friday September 18 along with my group and I went to Uptown Bill's Coffee House & Neighborhood Arts Center to drink coffee.It was a little far away from our school, but the cafe's environment was very quiet and sample which let me felt very comfortable. When you first step in you would see a lot of books, and you can pick up any book to enjoy. In the middle of this café, there was a small stage. The waiter told me at every weekend there may be a performance. And if you want to try you also can to play. How wonderful! At last we ordered a cup of coffee, a hot chocolate and a hotdog. All of them were delicious. In order to view the beauty we sat by the windows. How time flies, when we decided to go back it was already 5 o’clock. There was no doubt we spent a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. Sincerely, you should have a try.

   Last Friday, I went to Uptown Bill's Coffee House & Neighborhood Arts Center with my group members. It is a nice place where people can read some books or enjoy the afternoon time with a cup of coffee. I will show you how to enjoy the time at this coffee house.
   The first step is that you should select what you want drink or food from the menu. After making a decision, you can call the waiter. Another importance things in this coffee house is Feeling the artistic atmosphere, because there are many books and oil paintings in the center of coffee house. Thus the second step is that you can choice some books to read from the bookshelf when you eating food. At last, you can talk to the boss or take some photos with your friend in this coffee house. The boss is very kind and friendly. She is very willing to share some stories that happen in this coffee house to you.

   In conclusion, this coffee hours have delicious foods and all kinds of books. The people in this house are also very friendly. It is a nice place to enjoy your afternoon time.

The bill house was pretty good, we enjoyed our time there. Their coffee was pretty traditional which was different with Chinese coffee, in my opinion, their coffee is bitter than Chinese. It might suitable for American.
The refreshment was also pretty good, as you can see in the pictures, the hot dog was really tasty, especially the sauce, also there are some donuts which were suitable eat with coffee. We could find books on the bookshelf.
In general . this café is worthy to go, we can find original coffee and refreshment there. the price is also cheap.  However, this café is a little far away from the downtown which need 20 min walking. If you have a car it could be really convenient.

Last Friday our group went to a coffee shop called Uptown Bill’s Coffee House & Neighborhood Arts Center. And it is not easy to get to that coffee house because it is far from our studying hall. And I just want to compare this coffee house to the Starbucks. First I think the location of the Uptown Bill’s Coffee House is worse than Starbucks because is far from the main studying area and it is not easy to find. Second I think the there is not many items in the coffee house for us to choose, it just has coffee, hot chocolate, juice, hot dogs, sandwich and so on. To compare to the Starbucks only about the coffee it has mocha, cappuccino, latte and so on. I think I do not have to listed the other kinds of coffee in Starbucks. But there always some advantages in the Uptown Coffee House. To ignore the location and the menu there are a lot of books of coffee house. Many kind of books, if we have times we can spend whole day to sit there and read the books in the coffee house. And there also have mic so we can set up a small concert there. And the Uptown Coffee House is much bigger than The Starbucks.
