Molly's cupcake

Last Thursday, it was raining cat and dog. With the cold weather, it was nice to have a cup of hot coffee and a cupcake to kept your body warm. So, me,Summer, Eva and Xueming went to Molly's cupcake after class during that evening. When we entered the shop, we saw the sit on our right with several pillows. In front of us, there was several swings. The interesting thing was we can sit on the swing while having our cupcake and the coffee.  When everyone had ordered their cupcake, we take our sit on the swing. I really enjoyed to sit there. Summer also having fun to sit on the swing.The cupcake is sweet and delicious but the macchiato is very bitter. The cupcake and the coffee was a perfect combo for your palate. After that, we leave the shop with our tummy fulled. I would really recommended for you to try the cupcake and the coffee here!

Molly's cupcake is settled right next to old capital and downtown district. The store gate is small, however the brand board was signed very obvious. It both sold coffee and cupcakes. Summer first chose a cookie cupcake and moroccan to drink. I chose peanut cupcake and ice latte to drink. Anwar and Xueming were thinking about it for a long time then seperately picked orange cupcake and macchiato, peach cupcake and ice tea. After pick a cupcake, the staff would ask you would you like to pack away. If you choose to do so, they will put it into a delicate plastic box. Although the cupcake was very sweet, but acompanied the drink, everything seemed perfect there. I love the times I spent in this little store~~

When we walked to Molly's cupcake, we saw some special chairs.There are so quiet. It is a good place to chat with friends in your free time. First, we can choose the cupcake.There were so many the ready-made cupcake that we can choose. I bought a peach cupcake. The cupcake is very delicious. It is neither sweet nor greasy, and it tastes just like ice cream cake.Second, we can choose some coffee or tea. I bought ice tea. It is so different with Chinese ice tea. It tastes just like coffee. I don't like this tea. Finally, we just need pay for our cupcake and tea. After that, you can enjoy it with your friends. In short, I will buy cupcake again, and try another coffee or tea. I like this coffee shop.

When we sat in the Molly's Cupcake, a beautiful young lady received us. I chose the cookie cupcake which had Oreo on it, and as for drinking I chose the Moroccan Mint( which I highly recommended!!!). Eva chose the peanut cupcake which its color looked like peanut butter, and ice latte. Anwar chose the Orange cupcake which obviously was orange flavor,and Macchiato. At last, Xueming chose peach cupcake and ice tea. The cupcake was delicious and good looking, but compare to the other desserts cupcake was a lot sweet, so as i recommended, when eating cupcake be sure to eat with a cup of tea:) it could reduce the sugar sweet as much as you think and bring up the flavor. At last, Molly's Cupcake had the most traditional but also new-fashionable cupcakes, it is a very good place to spend your afternoon!

Bruegger’s bagels

Happy Friday also rainy day , we went to the Bruegger’s bagels. Because I went there before , just near the Phillips hall and it’s on IOWA AVE street, only took our around five or six minutes from old capital mall, so we didn’t use google map to find the bagels restaurant .The bruegger’s bagels have many kind of food , such as breakfast or lunch sandwiches , salads, soups , desserts , hot or ice beverage and bagels . First step , if you want to buy a bagel , you should choose which kind of bagel you like , for example , they have white bagel or whole wheat bagel,etc. Second step, you can put some fruit , cheese , egg or other flavor you like . Last step , the clerk will put your bagel into the heating machine. After that , you can go to the counter for pay your bill also they will ask you what did you order . Then ,we found a seat for eating and drinking our bagel and beverage . I think that their clerk is nice also making our meal quickly ,therefore , on the other hand, it’s good for people who is rush of time. And you should try their bagel because it’s delicious.

   We went to the Bruegger's bagels which is famous for bagles.It was really havy raining day. We met after lunch, and went together. It took only 5minutes from Old Capital Mall, and the shop was easy to find. There were a few people inside the shop. Three of us ordered coffee, and one of us ordered a tea. Also, Lu orderer a bagle.The price is fit for the shop. Coffee and tea tasts were normal.Not too bad,but not so good. The bagle had chewy bread, and it was good.It mean if you choose your favorite stuff for contants, it might tast good, and you can satisfy. The shop was clean and not so noisy, so it is easy to talk each other, and also you can study, too.In conclusion, this shop is not so good at only having coffee or tea, but it is good if you want to eat bagles or to study with some coffee.

On Friday September 18 2015, my friends Lin, JJ, Albert and I decided to go to Prairie Lights Books & Café. We met in Old Capitol Mall at 4 O’clock. It was raining at that time and on the way to the café, I sheared my umbrella with me friend Lin because he forgot his. When we arrived there, we went to second floor where the café is and first floor was the bookstore. The place was very nice and the smell of coffee was everywhere, and there were a lot of people most of them looked like students. Some were discussing in papers, and some were studying in their laptops. After we put our things on the table, we had a look on orders board to make our orders. I ordered Chai Latte for me, Albert ordered Mocha, Lin ordered a normal coffee and JJ ordered Thunderbird. After we spent there around one and a half hour talking about our features and which major each one want to study and about our families, we lift the café. It was nice time and place.

We have visited Prairie Lights Books & Cafe in this Friday. We been there about 4 O’clock, it was rain heavily outside, when I been there, my jacket were already get wet. When we walked into the store, it is a bookstore in front of us, and it have a sign said that the coffee shop is in upstairs. It also have a lot of coffee shop opened closed to the book shop in China too, people usually like to reading and working in coffee shop. When we walked into the Coffee shop, it only has one empty desk, maybe is because of the weather, this coffee shop is buys. Different with the coffee shop I have had in Maine, they will make the coffee in front of you in Prairie light, and you can know how coffee is been made. The coffee tasted good, and we also have a good conversation about our weekend plan and our winter plan

Prairie Lights Books & Café is a good place.The coffee store is in second floor, but we can smell it in the first floor and I truly look forward it! When we entered there, the most attracted thing is that they have lots of interesting names! Thus, when I read them all, I wanted to order at least two kinds of coffee!  Ibrahim ordered chai latte ibre first. Latte is my favorite coffee. However, I didn't  want to order the same and common coffee, so I will choose these coffee whose name is strange. Everyone should try something new in their daily lives, should he? Albert ordered Mocha and Lin also ordered a normal one. In my turn, I ordered these one, the thunderbird! What do you think of this name? Is it interesting and attracted? I can't help trying it! Three minutes later, we all got our own coffee. You will not know what is thunderbird. It is just a iced espresso! I had ordered one in IMU and I sward I would not try this anymore. However, it appeared again! Anyway, others' coffee are nice. Albert's was sweet and  Ibrahim's looked like truly good. Next, I will order a normal one!

Prairie Lights Books & Café, where we had gone to on last Friday. It definitely is a good place to relax, read books and enjoy your coffee. From my point of view, there are some aspects i think are so great. Such as the whole wood floor and bookshelf. This fitment style can let people relax to spend their time there. And it is a book & café store, so the two most important things are books and coffee. When i tasted my mocha i knew we choose the right one, but maybe Jj did not think so, because he choose a kind of concentrated coffee named thunderbird, which tasted...eh, I did not try. On the other hand, there are so many books both first and second floor. I looked around, I found something interesting, there are some real old book in the corner. And they have a great number of different kinds of books. Moreover, maybe some guys will think its signboard is too small to find, but it is so cute, which can give you a comfortable mood just from you step in. One more thing i wanna share with you is maybe it's  just a correct place to meet someone has same interest with you.

     We decided to go to the Airliner Pizza place during the weekends, and we arrived there on Saturday afternoon. At first we even didn’t know where the place was and Google map led us to the Clinton Street, then we saw The Airliner was just located on our opposite side, it was a small pizza place but I thought it was more like a bar, crowed with people, enveloped with enthusiasm. People were singing and enjoyed their food and beer. When we just found the seats, a waitress came to us with smile and helped us order pizza. After discussion, we ordered the Airline Tacco pizza and waited for it with expectation.

    We first followed the google map to find the location of the Airliner Pizza. It right besides UCC. After went into the Airline, we found an empty table with the help of waitress, and then we started to read the menu. I think the hardest step is to figure out what is the meaning of the pizza's name. We are so unfamiliar with these complicated food materials. Finally we choose the recommended one, which contains several food and chicken. After we finished eating, we took out our cards to pay the bill. We were wondered that weather the tip would be taken off automatically. At last we found out the tips should be written on a paper so that it would be taken off from your card later. These are the main steps that we went to the Airliner.

     When we went to The Airline the restaurant was too small, and there wasn't enough space between the tables. The pizza wasn't delicious, but it was fine. The serves was very good and we did't wait a lot for the pizza. Cleanliness was't very good because the floor was dirty with the food that was in the tables. The restaurant was a bar more than pizza place. There was a lot of noise in the restaurant and people were singing, so we could't hear each other when we were talking.

     Airline is the first place for me to eat PIZZA in IOWA. It is in front of the Old Capital, which is the most famous building in our University. When I first saw the door of this Pizza restaurant, I thought it is a small one, but when I entered, it surprised me! I can’t imagine it is as the test in Harry Potter, which looks like in small size outside, but inside it is bigger than you think! So interesting! However, if you are the one who don’t like noisy music, maybe it’s not the right place for you to eat. Because it seems like a bar rather than a restaurant. In my hometown, there are lots of restaurant like this, which makes you upset and have to talk louder to your friends. Some foreign people don’t know this ‘bad traditional’ of China maybe feel scared, because they think the people who speak louder might have a war suddenly.  I have eaten Pizza at ‘Burge’ once. In addition, I also choose one of my hometown’s well-know Pizza restaurant named Pizza hut to compare. Here are the differences between these three.

Papa John's

Last Friday, our group went to Papa John's. Papa John's Pizza is very popular in all over the world. Today, I want to compare Chinese Pizza Hut with Papa John’s Pizza. There are some differences. First difference is environment. Papa john’s is very simple. It just has some tables and chairs. If you finish your pizza, you need to throw rubbish by yourself. Chinese Pizza Hut’s environment is better than Papa John’s. There are some picture and beautiful lamp. It will make you hungry and want to eat pizza. The second difference is Papa John’s Pizza is cheaper than Pizza Hut. Last Friday we brought large pizza with two topping cheese, it was just 12 dollars. But if you buy the same one in Pizza Hut, it will much more expensive. The last difference is Papa john’s pizza has much oil than Pizza Hut’s. Therefore, although Papa John’s pizza doesn’t have a good environment and has much oil, it is delicious. It taste better than Pizza Hurt’s pizza.

Our group members went to the Papa John's on September 9th, 2015. We went there and ordered a half pepperoni and half cheese, also pop too. Then I looked and around the pizza place and I noticed that it was pretty much empty, nobody was there except our group members, so it was really quiet. While we were waiting for pizza, I started to smell pizza so strong those delicious cheese smell with pepperoni smell mixed with it. When pizza came we took a group picture and we started eating it. It tastes really good not very salty to me, because everytime when I eat Pizza Hut's pizza it was really salty. For all, we ate good and enjoyed our time for group project.

Last Friday, my group and I went to Papa john’s restaurant after we finished our classes. It was a good experience. The good thing is that you can make your own pizza that you can choose any topping that you want, so there is a lot of choices. We ordered one large pizza which come with two toppings cheese and pepperoni. It’s been served after 15 minutes. I liked that it’s served on the exact time. It’s also served with a garlic sauce. It is good that they have a lot of kinds of sauces that come with pizza such as garlic, ranch, barbecue, buffalo and blue cheese. There was enough tables to set on. The service was pretty good. There is two thing that I don’t like. The first, is that there is no tables outside, so if the weather is good you can’t enjoy while you are eating. The second thing, is that the restaurant has increased the pizza prices, but it doesn’t matter because the taste was perfect. I’ve been in more than 4 pizza restaurants in Iowa City the Papa john’s was the best.

This Friday, my group members went to a pizza place called Papa John's Pizza.This restaurant was quite and comfortable.First of all,we located this place in the google map to find this place. It was not so far.We just walked there for bout five minutes.Secondly, we chose  a large pizza with two topping cheese. After that,we paid the fee and took some drink. Then ,we found seats to wait for our pizza.Meanwhile we took a picture of  us.At last but not least,we enjoyed the pizza.I think this pizza was delicious although it is a little salty.This pizza is cheap and enjoyable.I want to recommend this restaurant to 

other people.

Sanctuary Pub

In September 5,2015 Friday afternoon. Anwar , Eva and me went to Sanctuary pub. The Sanctuary's door is classical. when we walked in side, there was empty. There are some music, it makes me relax.we ordered pizza pimiento and smoked paprika chicken organic Greens. I think the food is delicious. Today is a great day. I expect go to other place with my group mate.

The sanctuary pub located in a quiet street. When we came to visit in the afternoon, music accompanied the sunset suddenly made us fell in love with this small restaurant.
However, the pleased feeling changed after we ate the pizza. It was salty and hard, even couldn’t compared to the pizza in burge! The salad we chose was tasteful. At the beginning, we all supposed that paprika is a kind fruit, whereas it was small red pepper! It’s been a long time that I haven’t tasted spicy flavor.
Even though the pizza disturbed me, but we still had a great time there. If there’s another time, I may go there again.

The service of the restaurant is quite good. After we chose our seat, we ordered the pizza from the menu.There were a lot of choices from the menu. There were salads, sandwich, small plates set, dinner set and dessert too. The interesting things about the menu were the pizza section. There were ordinary pizza and special pizza.We were attracted to the special pizza section thus ordered pizza pimiento and smoked paprika chicken. After we ordered the pizza, we chose the size of the pizza. That day, we only took the 12 inch pizza. A few minutes later, the waiter came and brought our orders. I ate the pizza and it was a bit spicy for me. We enjoyed our meals while chatting together for half an hour. In the end, we paid the bill and left the restaurant through the classic door.

Basta Pizza--Bohan's Group!!

pizza is pretty popular in the Iowa city. there a lot pizza restaurant in the Iowa city , I like eating pizza for dinner. (it is a good choice which can save a lot of time)

in Friday our group just visited the downtown, and went to Basta-pizza for a lunch.  the restaurant was pretty good , especially the fitment. I thought it was a elite, the waiter was polite , we just ordered a pizza and a spaghetti. it took a long time waiting which is almost 20 min.
when the pizza was put on the table, I was shocked ,the pizza was covered by the mint leaves and cheese , I never see that kind of pizza before. it was totally different taste flavor . I do not really like the pizza. the spaghetti is delicious I ate a lot . that was the American  traditional foods.
after eating we took a photo together (our group mate). that was amazing trip for me. maybe I just ordered the wrong pizza. next time ,I will try more pizza.

Compare by YorkThrough our group member descriptions, it seems obviously that Basta Pizza is a excellent restaurant, while I want to compare Basta Pizza with HuaXing that is a Chinese food restaurant.They have some similarities between HuaXing and Basta Pizza. They are all located in Iowa city and near downtown. People can easier find them and enjoy delicious foods. Another common point is that the price for food is very cheap. A big pizza that constitute by meats, flour and cheese only cost you approximately 10 dollar at Basta Pizza.They also have some difference between them. You can not use your credit card when you reserve food at HuaXing, while Basta Pizza can accept any form of payment include credit card and personal checks.

We first pick up this restaurant because it’s location, it is near our university, and we can easily to walk there. When you get to the restaurant you can choose to sit inside the house or outside. It was a sunny day and the weather was very hot, so we choose to sit inside. Between two different sit places, if you choose to sit outside you can enjoy the view of university, and if you choose to sit inside the decorate of the restaurant is very nice. They use the dark yellow lights. Many normal restaurants they always use white lights. And we can also see the chef is making pizza outside, because they make this part of kitchen inside the restaurant. They have their small bar counter and people can enjoy drink there. I know that in united state people have the liquor must over21. But I also have some opinion about the restaurant’s shortage. I only saw two waitresses when we had dinner, so we had wait for long time.
